Add page numbers to a PDF — without uploading

Pick the corner, the format and the page to start from, see a live preview and download the numbered PDF.

The PDF stays on your computer: numbering happens in your browser. Free to start, no watermark.

How to number the pages of a PDF

Open the file and choose where the number goes — top or bottom, left, center or right — plus the format and size. The preview shows the page with the number in place, and the numbered PDF is created instantly.

Useful for court filings and exhibits, reports, course packs and documents merged from several files that need continuous numbering.

Skip the cover and pick the first number

“Start at page” lets you leave the cover or table of contents without a number. “First number” sets the number of the first numbered page — for example 51 to continue a second volume. Formats range from “1” to “Page 1 of 10”, with the total calculated automatically.
